Program Description

The Adult Literacy Center at YWCA Pekin is free, and offered year-round throughout Tazewell County and the surrounding area. Our program is funded by a grant awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Division of the Office of Secretary of State. Using state funds, our mission is to provide adults the opportunity to improve the quality of their lives through literacy.
YWCA of Pekin Adult Literacy Center provides basic adult education in reading, writing, math, and English as a Learned/Second Language. We also provide assistance with GED/ Illinois State High School Diploma acquisition. AARP Digital Skills Ready @50+ are available for free by registering at: www.aarpfoundation.org/digitalskillsregister.
