Program Description

ECAC offers multilevel ESL classes. The ESL program incorporates a basic understanding of U.S. workplace culture in addition to language related to family, housing, health, transportation and other pragmatic contexts. This prepares students for additional training conducted by ECAC’s Job Developers to address the following topics: cultural lessons, resume development, interviewing skills, employment benefits, job search skills, transportation, employer expectations, workplace safety, employee rights and responsibilities, and computer and financial literacy.
