Program Description

Northern Illinois Justice For Our Neighbors (NIJFON) provides free high-quality legal services to low-income immigrants, engages in education and advocacy efforts and builds cross-cultural relationships. Our virtual citizenship classes are designed to help legal permanent residents with multi-level speaking proficiency pass the citizenship exam and interview given by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

We serve individuals who live in Chicago, Suburban Cook County, Lake County, McHenry County, Kane County, DuPage County, and Kendall County, and Winnebago County.

We also serve IL Senate Districts: 2nd, 29th, 33rd, 34th, 35th, 42nd, and 45th; IL House Districts Served - 4th, 5th, 7th, 57th, 66th, 67th, 68th, 70th, 83rd, 90th.
